Chanderi had wanted to give her parents a lavish anniversary party to celebrate their years of togetherness. But considering this was their thirty-second anniversary and not a milestone anniversary, she had planned a small dinner consisting of exactly thirty-two guests.

X-Men

When Pihu had called Chanderi in a panic, she had cancelled two appointments and suggested they watch their favourite cartoon and eat icecreams, like they used to do when they were younger.

They were sitting on Pihu’s bed, icecreams in hand as they watched X-Men that had been illegally downloaded by Prachal as a gift for his soon to be wife. It was a show the two had bonded over while still in school.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbai

Chiranjeev didn’t want to be here. Here being on a date with someone other than Chanderi. Here being the god-level emotional blackmail his mother unleashed on him when he told her no, he would not meet Tamanna in 1BHK because she was waiting for him. Here being telling the lovely woman sitting in front of him that he was not interested but they could still have a meal together if she so wished.

Quantum of Solace

Exams and the school year were finally over and Chiranjeev had two weeks, three if he could push his guilt away, before he had to get back to planning for the next academic year. Right now though, he was lounging in a beach chair in his shorts, a beer in hand and nobody around. Well, his extremely loud cousins were somewhere behind him, enjoying a game of throwball while trying to coordinate with beers in hands and half drunk.
