But what about yesterday?

Please don’t leave, I’ll do better.

I’ll do everything you want, I promise.

Do you really?

Yes, yes, I promise!

And what about tomorrow, when you’ll forget again?

No I won’t, not this time. Please don’t leave.

I won’t leave, I promise.

So you don’t hate me anymore?

I don’t my darling, if you do everything I say. 

I will, I will!

Then I’ll love you forever and ever.

And what if I make a mistake?

Then we’ll begin again.

What do you mean again?

I hate you.

But you just said…

I hate you…unless you do this for me.

Okay I’ll do it. But then you’ll love me?

No. Then you’ll do these other things.

Okay but after that surely you’ll love me?

Yes? Please say yes?

Will you love me? 

I’ll do everything you say. Will you love me then?

    Loved the unique style of the poem.
    It conveys such a profound message. Expectations and conditions result from attachment, not from true love.

    This kind of toxicity in a relationship is a warning sign. Yet, many are blinded by love and trapped in the same. Beautifully written.

    They say love is bling, I think they just need to open their eyes and not think from the heart once in a while. You can’t be selfish in love and neither should let your partner be selfish. A beautifully written post yet again Suchita.
