#BlogchatterA2Z theme reveal: Chanderi

Ah it’s that time of the year again where I go a little crazier than usual. Its time to do a theme reveal for the mega blogging challenge – BlogchatterA2Z!

Since I started blogging in 2017, I have been a fan of this month-long challenge. It happens in the month of April and the rules are very simple, you have to blog everyday (barring Sundays) and your blog posts should follow the alphabet.

Every year, I have over prepared for this challenge, writing my blog posts in advance so I can focus on reading others in April. It’s my favourite part of BlogchatterA2Z – reading others and marvelling at the different themes, blog posts and interpretations of the alphabet that bloggers come up with.

In case you’re intrigued and want to join in the fun, head over here to read the rules and register. It’s the best way to make friends and to feel good about your own writing. I cannot tell you how much the comments, likes and shares mean to this self-doubting writer who has to constantly remind herself that the only reason I dislike my writing is I have read it ten thousand times.

Alright so here comes the theme reveal for 2024: Chanderi, as the header says. This is a second-chance love story between her and Chiranjeev. We meet them as they are preparing for their wedding. They break up, spend some time trying to get over each other, realize they actually like each other and then fall in love all over again.

This is a low-stakes, no conflict romance which I can only hope will make you laugh and leave you feeling happy by the end of it.

I wrote this for two reasons. One, I have never written a love story because it is bloody hard to write one. Two, my sister and mother always (and I mean always) complain that I write sad stories with no happy endings. Sometimes, they’re so confusing that, “Suchita, does anyone even understand what you write?”

So, this is my way of saying fuck you to them. I can write happy, fun, chill stories too Shreya and mom. Probably should not curse at mother but I think over the years, she has become used to it.

Without further ado, here are the chapter titles which have been inspired by movies this time. Although, a disclaimer, they have absolutely nothing to do with the plot of the movies.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Band Baaja Baaraat
Chupke Chupke
Dabangg
Ek Rishtaa
Finding Fanny
Gangs of Wasseypur

  2. Ooh Suchita, a second-chance love story with a Bollywood twist on the titles? I’m already hooked! This sounds like the perfect escape read for April. Can’t wait to see how Chanderi and Chiranjeev’s story unfolds Good luck with the challenge! #BlogchatterA2Z #SecondChanceRomance

    1. What I typed out, but didn’t go through was: “I am also taking part in the challenge. Looking forward to your posts.”
